नवरात्र समापन पर क्षेत्र में अनेक कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए गए। रविवार को नवमी के दिन भी घरों में पकवान बनाकर कन्याओं को भोजन कराया गया। रामभवन परिसर में सिद्धेश्वरी माता मंदिर में ओमप्रकाश ब्ल्यू फोक्स व माया देवी द्वारा हवन करवाया गया। पं.योगेश शर्मा द्वारा विधिवत् पूजन और हवन-यज्ञ की पूर्णाहुति के बाद भोग लगाकर श्रद्धालुओं को प्रसादी वितरित की गई। पूतली रोड स्थित श्री दुर्गा माता मन्दिर में पुजारी योगेश शर्मा ने मन्दिर में घट एवं ज्वारा विसर्जन का कार्य सम्पन्न करवाया। इस दौरान आयोजित भंडारे में श्रद्धालुओं ने पंगत-प्रसादी भी ग्रहण की। गंगा कॉलोनी के शिव-हनुमान दुर्गा मंदिर में पं.नरेन्द्र शर्मा ने जड़ी-बूटियों से चण्डी यज्ञ करवाया। कृष्णा टाकीज स्थित लक्ष्मीनारायण मंदिर सहित शहर के अनेक मन्दिरों में घट एवं ज्वारा विसर्जन का कार्य संपन्न करवाया गया। इधर, घरों में कन्या पूजन कर गृहणियों ने नवरात्र उठाए। अल सुबह से ही शहर में जगह-जगह कन्या जीमन के साथ-साथ घट विसर्जन होते देखा गया। शाम को शहर में विभिन्न मन्दिरों में श्रद्धालुओं की भारी भीड़ देखने को मिली।
