कोटपूतली समेत आसपास के क्षेत्र में गुरुवार देर रात और शुक्रवार को तडक़े आई तेज आंधी ने विद्युत तंत्र में तबाही मचा दी। रात्रि को अचानक तेज हवाओं के साथ मौसम ने करवट ली और देखते ही देखते पूरा क्षेत्र अंधड़ की चपेट में आ गया। इस तूफानी मौसम ने जहां एक ओर तापमान में गिरावट लाकर लोगों को गर्मी से राहत दी तो वहीं दूसरी ओर विद्युत तंत्र को गहरी चोट पहुंचाई। अधिशासी अभियंता कार्यालय के अनुसार, कोटपूतली समेत विराटनगर, पावटा व नारेहड़ा इलाके में एक ही रात में 102 बिजली के पोल टूट गए और 18 ट्रांसफार्मर जमीन पर गिर पड़े। इसके अलावा दर्जनों विद्युत लाइनें क्षतिग्रस्त हो गईं, जिससे वृहद स्तर पर विद्युत आपूर्ति बाधित हो गई। कई क्षेत्रों में 10 से 12 घंटे तक बिजली गुल रही, जिससे आमजन को भीषण परेशानी झेलनी पड़ी।
लाखों का नुकसान, आपात मरम्मत शुरु
अंधड़ के बाद सूचना मिलते ही निगम की तकनीकी टीमें तुरंत मैदान में उतर गई और युद्धस्तर पर मरम्मत कार्य शुरु किया गया। दो से चार घंटे में कुछ क्षेत्रों में आपूर्ति बहाल हो सकी, लेकिन अधिकांश ग्रामीण इलाकों में शाम तक सुधार कार्य जारी रहा। विद्युत निगम के अधिशासी अभियंता राजीव वीराणा ने बताया कि बिजली तंत्र को हुए नुकसान का अनुमान लाखों रुपए में लगाया जा रहा है। निगम के कनिष्ठ अभियंता अमर सिंह ने बताया कि तकनीकी टीमों ने क्षतिग्रस्त ट्रांसफार्मर हटाने, पोल खड़े करने और लाइनें दोबारा जोडऩे का काम देर शाम तक जारी रखा। इधर, बिजली आपूर्ति ठप होने का सबसे बड़ा असर जलापूर्ति व्यवस्था पर पड़ा। अधिकांश क्षेत्र जहां जल वितरण मोटर और टैंकों पर आधारित है, वहां पंपिंग सिस्टम बंद हो गया, जिससे लोगों को पीने के पानी के लिए भी जूझना पड़ा। कई मोहल्लों में टैंकर बुलवाने पड़े।
राहत और चुनौती साथ-साथ
जहां एक ओर इस तूफानी मौसम ने भीषण गर्मी और लू के थपेड़ों से जूझ रहे लोगों को राहत दी तो वहीं दूसरी ओर प्रशासनिक तंत्र के लिए चुनौती खड़ी कर दी। शुक्रवार सुबह भी बूंदाबांदी के साथ तेज हवाएं चलती रही और तापमान में गिरावट दर्ज की गई। अंधड़ के साथ हल्की बारिश ने मौसम को सुहाना बना दिया, जिससे लंबे समय से गर्मी से परेशान आमजन ने राहत की सांस ली। प्रशासन ने विद्युत निगम को पूरे नुकसान का विस्तृत ब्यौरा तैयार करने के निर्देश दिए हैं। साथ ही आपात स्थिति के लिए अतिरिक्त स्टाफ और वैकल्पिक आपूर्ति साधनों को सक्रिय रखा गया है।
