उत्तर प्रदेश के बरेली में आयोजित आठवीं नेशनल बॉक्सिंग चैंपियनशिप में कारागार विभाग में उप कारापाल के पद पर प्रशिक्षु हर्ष चौधरी ने कांस्य पदक हासिल किया है। महानिदेशक कारागार गोविंद गुप्ता ने बताया कि बरेली में यह प्रतियोगिता 6 जनवरी से 13 जनवरी तक आयोजित की गई थी। जिसमें 85 से 90 किलो भार वर्ग में चौधरी ने राजस्थान का प्रतिनिधित्व किया। प्रतियोगिता में कांस्य पदक जीतकर इन्होंने न केवल कारागार विभाग अपितु पूरे प्रदेश का नाम भी रोशन किया है।
राजस्थान लौटने पर डीजी जेल गुप्ता ने बॉक्सर चौधरी के पदक प्राप्त करने की सराहना करते हुए आगे और अधिक उत्साह से बढ़ चढ़कर प्रदर्शन करने के लिए शुभकामनाएं दी एवं उनके उज्जवल भविष्य की कामना की। गुप्ता ने हर्ष चौधरी के साथ उनके प्रशिक्षक, खेल अधिकारी और टीम प्रबन्धकों को भी इस उल्लेखनीय प्रदर्शन के लिए बधाई दीं।
