सशस्त्र सेना झंडा दिवस-2024 के अवसर पर सैनिक कल्याण विभाग द्वारा राजस्थान जीप क्लब के सहयोग से शनिवार को जयपुर में ‘विंटेज जीप रैली’ का आयोजन किया गया। राज्य सैनिक कल्याण सलाहकार समिति के अध्यक्ष प्रेम सिंह बाजौर ने अल्बर्ट हाल से रैली को हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना किया। इससे पूर्व बाजौर ने कहा कि सशस्त्र सेना झंडा दिवस भारतीय सशस्त्र बलों की वीरता, बलिदान एवं जाबां सैनिकों के सम्मान का पर्व हैं, जिन्होंने देश की सीमाओं की रक्षा के लिए अपने प्राणों को भी दांव पर लगा दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि इस प्रकार के कार्यक्रम से देश की युवा पीढ़ी हमारे शूरवीरों के अदम्य साहस और सशस्त्र बलों के इतिहास से परिचित होती है।
सैनिक कल्याण सलाहकार समिति के अध्यक्ष ने आमजन से आह्वान किया कि देश की रक्षा में अपना सर्वस्व न्यौछावर करने वाले इन रणबांकुरों, पूर्व और सेवारत सैनिकों तथा उनके परिवारों के कल्याणार्थ हरसंभव सहयोग करें। उन्होंने कहा कि इस अभियान से जुड़कर प्रदेशवासी राष्ट्र के लिए समर्पित सैनिकों को श्रद्दा सुमन अर्पित कर सकते है। सैनिक कल्याण विभाग के निदेशक ब्रिगेडियर वीरेंद्र सिंह राठौड़ ने बताया कि करीब 24 विंटेज जीपों में बड़ी संख्या में पूर्व सैनिक, एनसीसी स्वयंसेवक व कार्मिक इस रैली में शामिल हुए। उन्होंने बताया कि अपना सर्वस्व बलिदान करने वाले सैनिकों को आर्थिक सहायता के लिए बैंक ऑफ़ बडौदा, उद्योग भवन जयपुर की शाखा में खाता संख्या-14630100014791, IFSC Code- BARB0JAICOM में चेक/डिमांड ड्राफ्ट द्वारा सशस्त्र सेना झंडा दिवस, राजस्थान के नाम अथवा विभाग के यूपीआई क्युआर कोड के माध्यम से सहयोग राशि भेज सकते है।समारोह में अखिल भारतीय पूर्व सैनिक सेवा परिषद् के अध्यक्ष मेजर जनरल अनुज माथुर, राजस्थान स्टेट एक्स सर्विसेज लीग के अध्यक्ष लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल एसपीएस कटेवा, सूबेदार अर्जुन सिंह ने भाग लिया।
