क्षेत्र में लगातार बढ़ती वाहन चोरी की वारदातों के बीच कोटपूतली थाना पुलिस को बड़ी कामयाबी हाथ लगी है। पुलिस ने दो आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार कर उनके कब्जे से चोरी की मोटरसाईकिल भी बरामद की है। अब पुलिस इन आरोपियों से चोरी की अन्य घटनाओं के संबंध में गहन पूछताछ करने में जुटी है। पुलिस अधीक्षक राजन दुष्यंत ने बताया कि वाहन चोरी की वारदातों की रोकथाम के लिए जिले के सभी पुलिस थानों को सख्त कार्रवाई के निर्देश दिए गए हैं। इसके तहत कोटपूतली थाना स्तर पर एएसपी वैभव शर्मा और डीएसपी राजेन्द्र कुमार बुरडक के निर्देशन में थानाधिकारी राजेश कुमार शर्मा की अगुवाई में एक विशेष टीम का गठन किया गया था। टीम ने हाल ही में चोरी हुई मोटरसाईकिल चोरी की वारदातों का गहन परीक्षण करते हुए मौका-मुआयना किया। जांच के दौरान टीम ने वारदात के तरीकों का गहन परीक्षण किया और घटनास्थल के आसपास मौजूद सीसीटीवी कैमरे खंगाले गए। पुलिस ने पूर्व के चालानशुदा वाहन चोरों से भी पूछताछ की और अब बदमाशों का सुराग लगाते हुए दो आरोपी विकास मीणा पुत्र राजेन्द्र निवासी वार्ड नंबर 13 चोपड़ बाजार, शाहपुरा तथा संतोष सैनी पुत्र फूलचंद निवासी वार्ड नंबर 18 गंगा मार्केट शाहपुरा को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है। पुलिस ने आरोपियों के कब्जे से चोरी की गई मोटरसाईकिल भी बरामद की हैं। पुलिस ने दोनों आरोपियों को न्यायालय में पेश किया, जहां से उन्हें पुलिस रिमांड पर सौंप दिया गया।
