हाल ही में पुलिस और प्रशासनिक अधिकारियों समेत अन्य महकमों के अफसरों की एक संयुक्त बैठक में लिए गए निर्णय के अनुसार शुक्रवार को अतिक्रमण के विरुद्ध अभियान छेड़ दिया गया है। पूर्व निर्धारित योजना के तहत एसडीएम बृजेश चौधरी, नगर परिषद् आयुक्त धर्मपाल जाट, तहसीलदार रामधन गुर्जर और थानाधिकारी राजेश कुमार शर्मा ने पूरे लाव-लश्कर के साथ नगर परिषद् के पास से ही कार्रवाई शुरु की। कार्रवाई को देख अतिक्रमियों में हडक़ंप मच गया। बुलडोजरों की मदद से की गई कार्रवाई के दौरान अनेक दुकानदारों को भारी नुकसान भी झेलना पड़ा। हांलाकि, कलेक्टर कल्पना अग्रवाल ने पहले ही सभी अतिक्रमियों को न केवल चेतावनी दी थी, बल्कि अपने-अपने अतिक्रमण हटा लेने की अपील की थी। इसे लेकर हाल ही में आयोजित बैठक में एसपी राजन दुष्यंत से लेकर पुलिस-प्रशासन व संबंधित विभागों के अधिकारी मौजूद थे। कार्रवाई के दौरान प्रशासन ने नगर परिषद् से लेकर मुख्य चौराहे तक और फ्लाईओवर के नीचे बुलडोजरों की मदद से अवैध अतिक्रमण को हटवाया। चौराहे के पास दो दुकानों के शटर तोड़ दिए गए तो कई दुकानों पर काफी बाहर तक लगे टीनशैड भी उखाड़ दिए गए। इस कार्रवाई के बाद अतिक्रमण करने वालों में हडक़ंप मच गया। इस बीच, कुछ दुकानदारों ने विरोध करने की भी कोशिश की, लेकिन पुलिस और प्रशासन के आगे उनकी एक न चली।
