समीप के सुंदरपुरा गांव से एक ऐसी खबर सामने आई है, जिसने समाज की संवेदनाओं को झकझोर दिया है। एक विवाहिता की संदिग्ध परिस्थितियों में मौत हो गई और ससुराल पक्ष ने बिना पीहर को सूचना दिए आनन-फानन में अंतिम संस्कार भी कर दिया। सूचना मिलते ही जब मायके वाले मौके पर पहुंचे, तब बेटी की चिता धधक रही थी। झींड़ा की ढाणी निवासी मृतका के भाई गजेंद्र सिंह ने बताया कि जैसे ही उन्हें किसी परिचित से बहन स्नेहलता की मौत की सूचना मिली तो वह परिवार के अन्य लोगों के साथ बदहवासी में सुंदरपुरा पहुंचा, लेकिन वहां पहुंचते ही जो दृश्य देखा, उसने सबको तोड़ दिया। श्मशान घाट पर स्नेहलता की चिता जल रही थी, लेकिन वहां न उसका पति था, न ससुराल के अन्य सदस्य और न ही कोई ग्रामीण।

एफएसएल टीम ने जुटाए साक्ष्य

घटना की सूचना पर डीएसपी राजेन्द्र बुरडक़, कोटपूतली थानाधिकारी राजेश शर्मा, पनियाला थाना प्रभारी मोहर सिंह और सरुण्ड थाना प्रभारी बाबूलाल दल-बल के साथ मौके पर पहुंचे। चिता के अवशेषों को संरक्षित कर एफएसएल की टीम को अलवर से बुलाया गया, जिसने मौके से साक्ष्य जुटाए हैं। मृतका के भाई का कहना है कि स्नेहलता की शादी वर्ष 2020 में सुंदरपुरा निवासी महेन्द्र कसाना से हुई थी, जो एक सीमेंट फैक्ट्री में कार्यरत है। आरोप है कि शादी के कुछ समय बाद से ही बहन को दहेज के लिए मानसिक और शारीरिक रूप से प्रताडि़त किया जा रहा था। उसने सब सहा, सिर्फ अपने 2 साल के बेटे के लिए, लेकिन आज उसे जला दिया गया।

कब मिलेगी बेटियों को सुरक्षा

स्नेहलता की मौत ने एक बार फिर दहेज प्रथा की कथित क्रूरता को सामने ला दिया है। मायके पक्ष का आरोप है कि यह आत्महत्या या प्राकृतिक मौत नही, बल्कि सुनियोजित हत्या है। मायके पक्ष ने थाने में हत्या व दहेज प्रताडऩा की रिपोर्ट दर्ज कराई है। पुलिस का कहना है कि मामले की जांच गंभीरता से की जा रही है और आरोपियों से पूछताछ भी शुरु कर दी गई है।
