शहर के बहादुर शाह गाजी मस्जिद में शनिवार को रोजा इफ्तार दावत का आयोजन किया गया, जिसमें हिंदू-मुस्लिम एकता और सौहार्द का संदेश दिया गया। कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि विधायक हंसराज पटेल ने रोजेदारों को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि इलाके में हिंदू-मुस्लिम भाईचारा हमेशा बना रहेगा और शांति व्यवस्था कायम रहेगी। कार्यक्रम में अतिथि के रुप में एसडीएम बृजेश कुमार चौधरी, डीएसपी राजेंद्र कुमार बुरडक़, थानाधिकारी राजेश शर्मा, कांग्रेस के पूर्व प्रदेश महासचिव भीम पटेल, पार्षद मनोज गौड़, भाजपा अल्पसंख्यक मोर्चा के जिला अध्यक्ष अब्दुल सत्तार खान, महामंत्री निजामुद्दीन और जिला उपाध्यक्ष रफीक खान सहित कई गणमान्य लोग उपस्थित रहे। मुस्लिम समाज के मोहम्मद इरफान कुरैशी, जावेद कुरैशी, शौकत अली खान, शहजाद कुरैशी, हनीफ, हाजी मोहम्मद सद्दीक, यासीन कुरैशी, इकराम खान, मोहम्मद रसीद शाह, रसीद खान और इशाक खान सहित अन्य लोगों ने अतिथियों का साफा और माला पहनाकर स्वागत किया। इससे पहले मौलाना मोहम्मद अशफाक आलम ने नमाज अता करवाई। कार्यक्रम में मुस्लिम समाज के लोगों ने पार्षद मनोज गौड़ की अगुवाई में विधायक हंसराज पटेल को रोड लाइट, चारदीवारी के निर्माण और पानी की समस्या को लेकर एक ज्ञापन सौंपा। विधायक ने इन समस्याओं के जल्द समाधान का आश्वासन दिया। अंत में जावेद कुरैशी ने आगन्तुकों का आभार व्यक्त किया।
