शहर में नेशनल हाईवे पर बुधवार को सुबह घने कोहरे के बीच दो वाहनों में जोरदार भिड़ंत हो गई। डाक बंगले के सामने आगे चल रहे ट्रोले में पीछे से तेज गति से आ रहा एक ट्रक घुस गया। दुर्घटना इतनी तेज थी कि उसकी आवाज दूर तक सुनाई दी। दुर्घटना में ट्रक का अगला हिस्सा बुरी तरह से क्षतिग्रस्त हो गया और ट्रक का ड्राइवर घायल अवस्था में केबिन में ही फंस गया। हादसे को देख आसपास के लोग बचाव के लिए दौड़ पड़े। तुरंत मामले की सूचना पुलिस को भी दी गई। केबिन में फंसा चालक जयसिंहपुरा ग्राम निवासी कुलदीप घायलावस्था में चीखता चिल्लाता रहा। लोगों ने कड़ी मशक्कत कर क्रेन की मदद से उसे बाहर निकालने की कोशिश शुरु की और करीब आधे घंटे बाद लोगों ने उसे बाहर निकालकर अस्पताल पहुंचाया। इस दौरान हाईवे पर लंबा जाम लग गया। पुलिस ने क्षतिग्रस्त वाहन को साइड में कराकर आवागमन सुचारु करवाया।
कोहरा छाया, तापमान में गिरावट
जिले भर में पिछले दो दिन से मौसम साफ रहने व अच्छी धूप रहने से लोग काफी राहत महसूस कर रहे थे, किन्तु बुधवार को एक बार फिर मौसम ने करवट बदल लिया। इलाके में घने कोहरे के कारण लोग परेशान रहे। सर्वाधिक परेशानी वाहन चालकों को हुई तो वहीं सर्दी तेज होने के कारण जन जीवन खासा प्रभावित रहा। घने कोहरे के कारण हादसे की संभावना अधिक रहती है। थानाधिकारी राजेश कुमार शर्मा ने वाहन चालकों को यातायात नियमों की पालना करने और कोहरे में धीमी गति से सावधानीपूर्वक वाहन चलाने की अपील की है।
