राजस्थान विधान सभा में बुधवार को आयोजित एक समारोह में आर्मिनिया में आयोजित यूरेशियन कूडो कप— 2024 में राज्य के विजेता खिलाड़ियों का सम्मान किया गया। खेल मंत्री राज्यवर्धन राठौड और सरकारी मुख्य सचेतक जोगेश्वर गर्ग ने खिलाडियों को स्मृति चिन्ह भेंट किये और उनको यूरेशियन कूडो कप में मिले मेडल, प्रमाण-पत्र और शील्ड का अवलोकन किया। राठौड ने खिलाडियों को बधाई एवं शुभकामनाएँ देते हुए कहा कि खेल में मन, मस्तिष्क और शरीर सभी एक साथ काम करते हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि खिलाडी खेल के मैदान के साथ-साथ मैदान के बाहर भी चैम्पियन बनें। खेल मंत्री ने कूडो खेल के विस्तार की आवश्यकता जताते हुए कहा कि यह खेल मात्र खेल ही नहीं बल्कि सुरक्षा और बचाव का महत्वपूर्ण साधन है।
सरकारी मुख्य सचेतक जोगेश्वर गर्ग ने कहा कि कूडो एक श्रेष्ठ खेल है। यह खेल अब लोकप्रिय होता जा रहा है। इस खेल के प्रति लोग रूचि लेने लगे हैं। राज्य के विभिन्न जिलों के बच्चों ने कूडो अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय प्रतिस्पर्धा में श्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन कर राज्य और देश का नाम रोशन किया है। गर्ग ने कहा कि खिलाडी कभी हारता नहीं है। उन्होंने कहा कि खिलाडी या तो जीतता है या सीखता है।
राजस्थान राज्य खेल परिषद के अध्यक्ष नीरज के. पवन ने विजेताओं को बधाई देते हुए कहा कि राज्य सरकार अब राज्य में खेल और युवा नीति ला रही है। इसके लिए लोगों से सुझाव मांगे गये है। पवन ने बताया कि अब राज्य में युवा महोत्सव का विस्तार ब्लॉक स्तर पर किया जा रहा है। ऐसा पहली बार हो रहा है। दस हजार बच्चों ने अभी तक इसके लिए पंजीयन करा लिया है। हर विधान सभा क्षेत्र में एक स्टेडियम का निर्माण किया जा रहा है, साथ ही राज्य सरकार पारम्परिक खेलों को बढाने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। समारोह में स्वागत उद्बोधन कूडो के हैड कोच राजकुमार ने किया। उन्होंने बताया कि पचास हजार महिलाओं को कूड़ो का निःशुल्क प्रशिक्षण दिया गया है। समारोह में खेल परिषद के सचिव राजेन्द्र सिंह सहित विभिन्न जिलों से आये कूडो के कोच भी मौजूद थे। समारोह में कूडो के कई कोच का भी सम्मान किया गया। समारोह का संचालन राजस्थान प्रशासनिक सेवा के अधिकारी प्रमोद सीरवी ने किया।
