उपमुख्यमंत्री दिया कुमारी की उपस्थिति में मंगलवार, 14 जनवरी को सुबह 11.00 बजे से दोपहर 2.00 बजे तक आमेर रोड, जल महल की पाल पर काइट फेस्टिवल आयोजित होगा। पर्यटन आयुक्त विजय पाल सिंह ने बताया कि उपमुख्यमंत्री के निर्देशों पर भव्य काइट फेस्टिवल आयोजित किया जा रहा हैं, फेस्टिवल में देशी-विदेशी पर्यटक और आम जन आमंत्रित हैं। आयुक्त ने बताया कि राजस्थान पर्यटन विभाग द्वारा उक्त कार्यक्रम का आयोजन जयपुर जिला प्रशासन एवं जयपुर नगर निगम (विरासत) के सहयोग से किया जा रहा है। इसमें देशी और विदेशी पर्यटकों के लिए बैठने की विशेष व्यवस्था की गई है।
पर्यटन उपनिदेशक उपेन्द्र सिंह ने बताया कि फेस्टिवल के दौरान पतंगों की प्रदर्शनी भी आयोजित की जाएगी, लोक कलाकारों द्वारा सांस्कृतिक प्रस्तुतियाँ दी जाएंगी। इस अवसर पर पतंग बनाने की विधा का प्रदर्शन किया जाएगा। फैंसी पतंगबाजी का प्रदर्शन भी किया जाएगा। पर्यटकों के लिए पतंग, पारंपरिक व्यंजन व ऊँट गाड़ी सवारी की निःशुल्क व्यवस्था भी रहेगी।
