अवैध हथियारों के खिलाफ चलाए जा रहे विशेष अभियान के तहत सरुंड थाना पुलिस ने बड़ी कार्रवाई करते हुए एक आरोपी को अवैध देशी पिस्टल सहित गिरफ्तार किया है। एसपी राजन दुष्यंत ने बताया कि एएसपी वैभव शर्मा व डीएसपी राजेंद्र बुरडक़ के निर्देशन में सरुंड थानाधिकारी बाबूलाल की अगुवाई गठित टीम ने इस कार्रवाई को अंजाम दिया। मंगलवार को मुखबिर से मिली सूचना के आधार पर पुलिस टीम पुरुषोतमपुरा जाने वाले रास्ते पर पुराने तिबारे के पास पहुंची, जहां एक संदिग्ध व्यक्ति पुलिस वाहन को देखकर भागने लगा। पुलिस ने तत्परता दिखाते हुए घेराबंदी कर उसे पकड़ लिया। तलाशी लेने पर आरोपी के पास से कमर में छुपाई गई एक अवैध देशी पिस्टल बरामद हुई। आरोपी की पहचान राहुल उर्फ पपला पुत्र लखीराम योगी निवासी महनपुर, थाना बानसूर के रूप में हुई है। पुलिस अब यह जांच कर रही है कि आरोपी यह अवैध पिस्टल कहां से लाया था और इसका उपयोग कहां करने वाला था। इस पूरे ऑपरेशन में हैड कांस्टेबल शंकरलाल, कांस्टेबल राहुल, जगतसिंह, मनोज कुमार और अरुण कुमार शामिल रहे।
