यहां के राजकीय एलबीएस कॉलेज की एनएसएस इकाई ने पहली बार संस्थागत श्रेणी में राज्य स्तरीय पुरस्कार प्राप्त किया है। यह सम्मान राजस्थान सरकार व आयुक्तालय कॉलेज शिक्षा जयपुर द्वारा गठित चयन समिति की अनुशंसा पर महाविद्यालय को सम्पूर्ण राज्य में प्रथम स्थान मिलने पर प्रदान किया गया है। प्राचार्य प्रो.राजेन्द्र कुमार सिंह ने इस गौरवपूर्ण उपलब्धि पर प्रसन्नता व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि यह महाविद्यालय और सम्पूर्ण क्षेत्रवासियों के लिए गर्व का विषय है। महाविद्यालय की चारों एनएसएस इकाइयों द्वारा पर्यावरण संरक्षण की दिशा में उल्लेखनीय कार्य किए गए हैं, जिनमें लगभग 2000 पौधे लगाकर अरण्य उद्यान एवं तुलसी गौड़ा उद्यान का विकास प्रमुख है। एनएसएस स्वयंसेवकों द्वारा सत्र भर वृक्षारोपण, मतदाता जागरूकता, बेटी बचाओ-बेटी पढ़ाओ अभियान, सामाजिक कुरीतियों के प्रति जनजागरूकता तथा महापुरुषों की जयंतियों का आयोजन सफलतापूर्वक किया गया। इस सम्मान की घोषणा के बाद महाविद्यालय परिसर में खुशी की लहर दौड़ गई। प्राचार्य सहित समस्त संकाय सदस्यों व विद्यार्थियों ने एक-दूसरे को बधाइयां दी।
