कोटपूतली समेत जिले भर में भाई-बहन के बीच अटूट प्रेम का प्रतीक रक्षाबंधन पर्व धूमधाम से मनाया गया। भद्राकाल के चलते सोमवार को दोपहर करीब डेढ़ बजे बाद राखी बांधने का दौर शुरु हुआ, जो शाम तक जारी रहा। इस दौरान नए परिधानों को धारण कर बहनों ने अपने भाईयों के कलाईयों पर रंग-बिरंगी राखी बांधकर उनके दीर्घायु की कामना की। भाईयों ने भी सामथ्र्य के अनुसार अपनी बहनों को उपहार भेंट किया। सबसे ज्यादा उत्साह रक्षा बंधन को लेकर छोटे-छोटे बच्चों में देखा गया। रक्षा सूत्र बांधने से पहले बहनों ने भाइयों के ललाट पर तिलक व अच्छत लगाया और मुंह मीठा कराकर कलाईयों पर रक्षा सूत्र बांधकर लंबी आयु की कामना की। भाईयों ने भी बहनों को आशीर्वाद दिया और हर सम्भव मदद का भरोसा दिलाया। साथ ही बहनों को नकद राशि के साथ उपहार भी भेंट किया।
दूसरी ओर रक्षाबंधन पर स्थानीय उपकारागृह में बंद कैदियों की बहनें भी उन्हें राखी बांधने पहुंची। इसके लिए माकूल सुरक्षा व्यवस्था की गई थी। बहनों ने भाइयों की कलाई पर राखी बांध उनसे रक्षा का वचन लिया। बहनें जेल में कैद भाईयों के लिए राखी लेकर पहुंची। बहनों ने जेल में राखी बांधी तो भाई भावुक हो गए। उन्होंने बहनों को अपराध की दुनिया छोडऩे का वचन दिया। जेल में बंदियों की उनकी बहनों से खुली मुलाकात रखी गई। सुरक्षा को लेकर पुलिसकर्मी तैनात रहे। दोपहर को मुहूर्त होते ही बहनों का आना शुरु हो गया था। जेलर प्रेमप्रकाश ने बताया कि उच्चाधिकारियों के निर्देश पर जेल में बहनों को भाइयों से मिलने का एक कार्यक्रम किया गया, जहां बहनों ने अपने भाईयों की कलाई पर राखी बांधी और बदले में भाईयों से रक्षाबंधन पर इस अपराध की दुनिया को छोडऩे का वचन मांगा।
