उपमुख्यमंत्री प्रेमचंद बैरवा ने मंगलवार को विधान सभा में कहा कि राज्य सरकार द्वारा वाहनों पर ग्रीन शुल्क पर्यावरण संरक्षण की दृष्टि से लिया जाता है। यह शुल्क राज्य के सभी पंजीकृत वाहनों पर लागू है। उन्होंने बताया कि इस शुल्क का भार किसान वर्ग पर अत्यंत कम है। उपमुख्यमंत्री ने शून्य काल के दौरान सदन के सदस्य केसाराम चौधरी द्वारा ध्यान आकर्षण प्रस्ताव के माध्यम से उठाए गए प्रश्न पर जवाब दिया। उन्होंने पुराने ट्रैक्टर पर टैक्स कम करने एवं प्रतिमाह पेनल्टी माफ करने के संबंध में कहा कि यह पेनल्टी वाहनों का समय पर पंजीकरण कराने के लिए लगाई जाती है। उन्होंने स्पष्ट किया कि राज्य सरकार द्वारा पेनल्टी व टैक्स कम करने के निर्देश केंद्र सरकार द्वारा जारी अग्रिम आदेशों की अनुपालना में ही किए जा सकेंगे।
