संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका के उपराष्ट्रपति जेम्स डेविड वेंस अपने परिवार सहित 21 अप्रैल की रात्रि जयपुर पहुंचेंगे। वे 21 से 24 अप्रैल तक राजस्थान प्रवास पर रहेंगे। मुख्य सचिव सुधांश पंत ने बताया कि भारतीय विदेश मंत्रालय से प्राप्त कार्यक्रम के अनुसार श्री वेंस अपनी पत्नी एवं तीन बच्चों सहित इस यात्रा पर हैं। इस यात्रा के दौरान वे राजस्थान की सांस्कृतिक और स्थापत्य धरोहर से परिचित होंगे। 22 अप्रैल को वे प्रातः आमेर किले का भ्रमण करेंगे। दोपहर में वे आमेर किले से रामबाग पेलेस पहुंचेंगे, जहां से वे राजस्थान इंटरनेशनल सेंटर  पहुंचकर एक कार्यक्रम में भाग लेंगे। 23 अप्रैल को अमेरिकी उपराष्ट्रपति एवं उनका परिवार आगरा का भ्रमण करेंगे तथा वहां से लौटकर सिटी पैलेस में राजस्थानी कला-संस्कृति का अनुभव लेंगे। 24 अप्रैल को प्रातः वे अमेरिका के लिए प्रस्थान करेंगे। उपराष्ट्रपति वेंस की यह यात्रा भारत और अमेरिका के मैत्रीपूर्ण संबंधों को नई ऊंचाई देने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण पहल मानी जा रही है।
