शुद्ध आहार मिलावट पर वार अभियान के तहत कोटपूतली सब्जी मंडी, फर्मों, गोदामों और मुख्य चौराहे पर फलों के थोक और खुदरा विके्रताओं का निरीक्षण किया गया। खाद्य सुरक्षा एवं औषधि नियंत्रक आयुक्त तथा एडीएम ओमप्रकाश सहारण के निर्देश और सीएमएचओ डा.आशीष सिंह शेखावत के नेतृत्व में चल रहे इस अभियान में सेब, आम, संतरा, अनार और पपीता के 9 नमूने लेकर जांच के लिए प्रयोगशाला भेजे गए हैं। खाद्य सुरक्षा अधिकारी नेहा शर्मा ने बताया कि निरीक्षण के दौरान फलों को एथिलिन गैस से पकाया जा रहा था, जो कि मान्य है। जबकि कैल्सियम कार्बाइड और एसिटिलिन गैस से पकाना खाद्य सुरक्षा मानक अधिनियम के तहत प्रतिबंधित है। इस दौरान विक्रेताओं को निर्देश दिए गए कि वे अनिवार्य रुप से खाद्य सुरक्षा लाइसेंस और पंजीयन कराएं। अधिकारियों ने उपभोक्ताओं को भी सतर्क करते हुए कहा कि चमकदार छिलके और एक समान पके हुए फल मिलावटी हो सकते हैं, इसलिए सावधानीपूर्वक खरीदें। अंगूर और सेब पर वैक्स कोटिंग व कीटनाशक अवशेष हो सकते हैं, जिन्हें उपयोग से पहले अच्छे से धोकर ही खाएं। निरीक्षण के दौरान साफ.-सफाई और खाद्य सुरक्षा जागरुकता से जुड़ी जानकारियां भी दी गई।
