पनियाला थाना पुलिस ने अवैध डोडा-पोस्त व अफीम की तस्करी के मामले में फरार चल रहे पांच हजार रुपए के एक इनामी बदमाश को गिरफ्तार किया है। आरोपी के विरुद्ध कई थानों में विभिन्न संगीन धाराओं में मुकदमे दर्ज हैं। थानाधिकारी बाबूलाल मीणा ने बताया कि 28 जनवरी 2022 को करवास नदी के पास गश्त के दौरान पुलिस टीम ने एक गाड़ी को रुकवाई तो वाहन से विनोद मीणा उर्फ लादेन निवासी पावटा व मुकेश स्वामी निवासी स्वामी की ढाणी भांकरी नीचे उतरकर फरार हो गए। पुलिस ने मौके से एक व्यक्ति सतीश आर्य निवासी करवास को दबोच लिया था। बाद में वाहन की जांच की गई तो उसमें एक कट्टा डोडा पोस्त व एक थैली अफीम की बरामद हुई थी। मामले में पुलिस ने मुकदमा दर्ज कर सतीश को गिरफ्तार लिया था और तभी फरार चल रहे दोनों आरोपियों की तलाश जारी थी। कुछ समय बाद प्रागपुरा पुलिस ने दूसरे आरोपी मुकेश स्वामी को भी गिरफ्तार कर लिया था। थानाधिकारी मीणा ने बताया कि तीसरे आरोपी विनोद मीणा उर्फ लादेन मीणा निवासी पावटा पर 5 हजार रुपए का इनाम घोषित किया गया था। अब उसे मुखबिर द्वारा मिली सूचना के आधार पर गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है। आरोपी के विरुद्ध विभिन्न थानों में डकैती, लूट, चोरी, विद्युत उपकरण चोरी, अपहरण, अवैध मादक पदार्थ एवं पुलिस हिरासत से भागने के मामले दर्ज हैं।
