कोटपूतली समेत जिले भर में मंगलवार को बुराई पर अच्छाई की विजय का प्रतीक दशहरा पर्व धूमधाम से मनाया गया। इस मौके पर श्रीराम लीला मण्डल, कोटपूतली के तत्वावधान में नागाजी की गौर स्थित दशहरा मैदान पर रावण के पुतले को जलाया गया। सायंकाल भगवान श्रीराम, लक्ष्मण तथा हनुमान की लवाजमे के साथ शोभा यात्रा तथा रावण की सवारी निकाली गई, जो आजाद चौक से प्रारम्भ होकर शहर के विभिन्न मार्गों से होती हुई नागाजी की गौर पहुंची। रास्ते में जगह-जगह भगवान श्रीराम और उनकी सेना का स्वागत किया गया। पूर्व पीएमओ डा.अश्विनी गोयल, एडवोकेट विमल गोयल सहित अनेक श्रद्धालुओं ने आरती उतारी। इस दौरान शहर के केशव मंदिर, कल्याण मंदिर तथा सीताराम मंदिर समेत विभिन्न मंदिरों के ढ़ोले भी निकाले गए। मैदान में पहले रावण-अंगद संवाद हुआ तथा श्रीराम-रावण युद्ध के मंचन के उपरान्त श्रीराम ने विभीषण के इशारे पर अग्नि बाण से रावण के नाभि कुण्ड में बाण मारा। बाण लगते ही लगभग 61 फिट ऊंचा रावण का पुतला जलकर खाक हो गया। रावण दहन के समय पुतले में मौजूद पटाखे फटने से हुई आवाज दूर-दूर तक सुनाई दे रही थी।
इस मौके पर मंडल के अध्यक्ष कमलेश मीणा, महेन्द्र शर्मा, प्रकाश भगतजी, राजेश ढ़ोढू, पवन कंसल, एडवोकेट सुमित शर्मा, कुलदीप जोशी, एडवोकेट आनंद भारद्वाज, बालमुकुंद बंसल, पप्पू पांचाल, भौरेलाल गुर्जर, नेमीचंद, जगदीश बसीठा, लालाराम सैन, कैलाश सैन, राधेश्याम शर्मा, चन्द्रकांत शर्मा, नितिन जोशी, रतनलाल राय, एडवोकेट सुमित शर्मा, केशव शर्मा, मनोज पंडित समेत हजारों की संख्या में लोग मौजूद रहे। सुरक्षा व्यवस्था बनाए रखने के लिए मौके पर पुलिस मुश्तैद रही। इधर, शहर के अनेक कॉलोनियों में भी रावण दहन करने के समाचार मिले हैं। अनेक परिवारों में शस्त्र पूजन भी किया गया।
