सडक़ सुरक्षा को सख्ती से लागू करने और यातायात नियमों की अनदेखी पर लगाम कसने के लिए परिवहन विभाग ने एक नया अभियान शुरु किया है। अब वाहनों के पंजीयन प्रमाणपत्र (आरसी) में मोबाइल नंबर अपडेट करना अनिवार्य कर दिया गया है। इससे न सिर्फ चालान की जानकारी सीधे वाहन मालिक को मोबाइल पर मिलेगी, बल्कि वाहन से जुड़ी तमाम जानकारी भी घर बैठे उपलब्ध हो सकेगी। डीटीओ सुनील कुमार सैनी ने बताया कि जिले में विशेष अभियान की शुरुआत की गई है, जो लगातार 10 दिनों तक चलेगा। इस दौरान हाईवे पर गुजरने वाले वाहनों और शहरों में लगे कैमरों के जरिए नियम तोडऩे वालों की पहचान कर ई-डिटेक्शन प्रणाली के तहत चालान काटा जाएगा। परिवहन विभाग को उम्मीद है कि मोबाइल नंबर अपडेट होने के बाद वाहन स्वामियों को समय पर जानकारी मिलेगी, जिससे यातायात नियमों का पालन बढ़ेगा। इससे न केवल सडक़ हादसों में कमी आएगी, बल्कि विभाग का राजस्व भी बढ़ेगा।

कैमरे से स्कैन होगा वाहन

ई-डिटेक्शन सिस्टम में लगे हाई-रिजॉल्यूशन कैमरे हर गुजरते वाहन की नंबर प्लेट को स्कैन करेंगे और उसका डेटा केंद्र सरकार के वाहन पोर्टल से मिलाया जाएगा। यदि किसी वाहन का बीमा, फिटनेस या पीयूसी समाप्त हो चुका है तो उसी क्षण चालान काटकर वाहन स्वामी के मोबाइल पर मैसेज भेज दिया जाएगा।
